Yes, once registered, you can immediately configure DNS resolution creating a profile in the account for the domains. The resolution process may take up to 24hrs to effect, however in most of the case, it is only require few minutes to effect, unless the TLD requires some verification process to identity the identity of the domain holder. 

The duration of your domain registration can vary depending on the domain extension you purchase. With most extensions, domain name registrars allow customers to register domains for up to 10 years at a time. Typically, customers register domains for one to three years. Some premium domains and gTLDs (like .sg) have shorter registration periods, especially on country-code TLD. If you want to extend your registration, it's easy to renew your domain with GNAME. You can choose to manually renew or set up auto-renewal, which helps ensure that your website name stays registered to you.

A domain transfer is moving a domain name from one registrar (like us, GNAME or GoDaddy) to another, allowing you to change management, potentially get better pricing, or centralize services, but it doesn't affect your website or email itself, only where you manage the registration. The process involves unlocking the domain at the current registrar, getting a special Authorization Code (Auth Code), and then initiating the transfer with the new registrar, usually taking 5-7 days to complete. One can either transfer in a domain or transfer out a domain to other registrars. 

A premium domain name is a short, memorable, keyword-rich web address (like ab.com) that registries classify as high-value, costing significantly more than standard domains due to high demand, acting as valuable digital real estate for branding and SEO. If you don’t renew your domain on time, there is normally a grace renewal period of up to 30-day, then domains will line up for de-registration. Normally domain owner will still have a last chance to redeem an expired domain name, however at this state one may need to pay extra "Redemption Fee". If no action is taken after all the grace period, the domain might be secured by someone else and it will effect your website resolution and workability.
